Here is what you can expect from Mahindra’s upcoming SUVs
Three Mahindra SUVs are scheduled to be launched in India in 2024. Here is a list of what to expect from Mahindra’s future SUVs in 2024, organized alphabetically.
- XUV 400 facelift by Mahindra.
- The new Mahindra XUV 300 EV.
- XUV.e8 from Mahindra.
1.) XUV 400 EV facelift by Mahindra.
As the first of these vehicles, the XUV400 will be priced between Rs 16 lakh and Rs 19.50 lakh. It is scheduled for launch in early 2024. In the last year or so, Mahindra has already made a few small updates to the XUV400 to improve its sales. One of the most significant updates will likely be a redesign of the cabin, which will include additional features. Among the most significant features will be a larger 10.25-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The dashboard will also be redesigned. ADAS OR 360-degree cameras, which are becoming increasingly common in vehicles under four meters, are not expected in these vehicles. Additionally, we do not anticipate any exterior cosmetic or mechanical updates.
2.) The new Mahindra XUV 300 EV.
Mahindra intends to launch a new XUV300 EV, which will be placed below the current XUV400, in order to compete with the new Tata Nexon EV in the entry level electric SUV segment. Based on the lines of the current XUV300, this new model will be shorter than 4 meters in length. Thus, you can expect some of the same BE-inspired styling, but with some EV-specific features as well. It is expected that the interior will be similar to that of the XUV300, however, the boot will be smaller than that of the XUV400, and the battery will be a 35kWh rather than the 40kWh found in the top-of-the-line model. As of now, we have no details regarding the range or electric motor specifications, but we do know that the new XUV300 will be priced about Rs 2 lakh less than the present XUV400. It is expected to be unveiled in June 2024 at a price of Rs 14 lakh.
3.) XUV.e8 from Mahindra.
Mahindra will launch its last electric vehicle next year and be the first of its next-generation electric vehicle lineup. Based on the same platform as the XUV700, it will retain the same layout, same shape, and same three rows of seats. The vehicle is essentially an electric XUV700 derivative with a slightly altered design to differentiate it from other electric vehicles.
