Mahindra Electric will focus on electric vehicles fleet segment. It has rolled out electric cars such as e20 previously and now it has Mahindra eVerito sedan. The range of these vehicles is limited between 100 and 140 km per charge and sales were also low, so Mahindra wants to grab an opportunity in the fleet segment.

At the recent event, Auto Expo 2020, Mahindra has displayed its EVs such as Funster concept, eXUV300, electric three-wheeler Treo and an Atom.

In the Auto Expo 2020, Mahindra has displayed its Funster concept, eXUV300, electric three-wheeler Treo with solar roof and a dedicated charger and an Atom.

The Mahindra has also launched its first electric SUV eKUV 100 with an ex-showroom price of 8.25 Lakhs. It is powered by a 15.9 kWh lithium-ion battery which offers 147 km range and works with a 40 kW Electric Motor. Its charge time is 5 hours with a regular charger and 55 minutes with a fast charger.

The company also revealed a sports Concept electric vehicle ‘Funster’ with an outstanding range of 520 km. The Funster works with a 59.1 kWh battery and gives a top speed of 200 km/h which can accelerate 0-100 km/h in under 5 seconds.

There was also eXUV 300 showcased at the Auto Expo 2020. The eXUV300 is powered by a 40 kWh battery with a claimed range of more than 300 km. It will be launched in the second half of 2021 and is expected to be priced around Rs. 15 to 16 lakhs in India.

It has also displayed a 3 seater Atom quadricycle with 4G connectivity. However, its specifications and price details have not yet revealed.
