Made in India luxury EV with 500 km of range-Extinction MK1

Bengaluru-based Pravaig Dynamics has built its first homegrown electric car, Extinction MK1 superior electric car. The Extinction MK1 is the result of nine years of research and development. It will be available exclusively as a premium fleet service for B2B clients in Bangalore and Delhi, with optional chauffeur services. Pravaig is aiming to supply round 250 models of the Extinction MK1 yearly. Let us read more in detail about made in India luxury EV.

The Pravaig Extinction MK1 can recharge to about 80% within 30 minutes and its 150KW motor is powered by a 96 kWh battery that can generate 200 hp of maximum power and a maximum top speed of 196 kmph. It can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 5.4 seconds. However, at its top speed of 106 km/h, the range will be under 200km. It is coming with a range of more than 500 kms on a single charge. Till now no electric car has a range of 500 km in India.

The company says that there will be some additional improvements in the prototype shown. Improvements include such as higher ground clearance, four doors and more comfort.

The Volkswagen ID.3 can barely provide 500 kms and Tesla Model 3 performance variant claims a range of 507 kms in a single charge. In India, the Hyundai Kona EV has a claimed range of 452 kms and MG ZS EV has a range of 340 km and is still in the process to upgrade to a range of 500 km. The Mercedes EQC has also a range of just 350 km.

So Pravaig Extinction MK1 can be said as India’s Tesla. Almost every consumer’s first concern is the range in an electric vehicle, hopefully, Pravaig Extinction can solve the concern of the people.
