Lexus unveiled two concepts at its Auto Expo 2023 pavilion: the LF-30 and LF-Z EV. Motor setup, the latter gets 4 in-wheel motors.
The Lexus LF-30, an all-electric sports coupe concept with quad motors, made headlines at Auto Expo 2023. It is based on the Japanese luxury car brand Tanzuna cockpit concept.
The Lexus LF-30 electrified concept car is the center of attraction befitting its sharp, futuristic design. The concept car unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show 2019 is a demonstration of the Lexus Electrified. At its Auto Expo 2023 pavilion, Lexus introduced two EV concepts: the LF-30 and LF-Z. The latter has four in-wheel motors.
The company’s vision is to aggressively leap into the future of vehicles in terms of comfort and design. The company seems to be on the right track with a design that many see straight out of a sci-fi movie.
The Lexus LF-30 has a different appearance due to its bonnetless vehicle geometry. A design that can be done because it is electric. The sleek body looks perfectly engineered, with window glass extending from the front to the rear of the car. It gets an interesting rear end with airfoil-shaped taillights that all converge to one point and looks like a simple curve. Apart from aesthetics, the car’s design also gives the car an aerodynamic advantage.
In terms of operation, the front and rear wheels can be used independently, so depending on the situation and the driver, the vehicle can be driven using the front wheels, the rear wheels, or even a four-wheel drive seat. To improve the LF30’s battery handling, the battery is placed deeper into the car’s body, improving the car’s performance and inertia.
