Lanzador: Lamborghini’s future electric emotion

Taking it to the next level with a new concept

Lamborghini has chosen Monterey Car Week to unveil the Lanzador concept car, a visionary preview of the company’s forthcoming fourth model, slated to launch in 2028. The brand announced its Direzione Cor Tauri initiative in 2021, which includes decarbonization and electrification.

With the innovative Gran Turismo 2+2 concept, the Lanzador stands out for its rebellious and futuristic design while preserving the unmistakable Lamborghini DNA, characterized by its uncompromising, expectant appeal and sportiness. A truly unique experience for a new generation of customers.

Upon introducing this concept, Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, stated: “We are introducing a new vehicle category with the Ultra GT concept, and we are ready to deliver a unique and unparalleled driving experience to customers through innovative technology, a quintessential Lamborghini.”

Each axle of the Lanzador is powered by an electric motor, making it capable of driving in all conditions, on any road surface, and in all driving styles. The system delivers peak power in excess of one megawatt. Through the controls located on the steering wheel, the driver is able to independently adjust the on-road controls, actively adjusting the vehicle’s behavior and creating its profile in order to best meet driving needs. It is our imagination that takes us to the car and brings out our emotions.

The new version of the dynamics control system, the Lamborghini Dinam ca Veicolo Integrata (LDVI), will set another benchmark for the House of Sant’Agata Bolognese, both in concept cars and future products in cars. This control system gives drivers the greatest freedom of customization, allowing them to tailor the active control systems to best suit their driving needs.

Active aerodynamics is another key feature of the Lanzador, used front and rear to maximize aerodynamic efficiency in different driving modes. By precisely controlling airflow, this technology increases range and downforce in Urban mode and Performance mode, respectively. In addition, thanks to a drivable rear axle and air suspension, the Lanzador adapts perfectly to any surface and to driver-defined settings, making adjustments quickly and directly on the road through the controls. control buttons on the steering wheel.

With the Lanzador, Lamborghini looks to the future and anticipates new stylistic solutions to come, not only on the outside but also on the inside, offering a whole new experience of space and comfort.

The interior is a truly futuristic space, incorporating Lamborghini’s “feel like a driver” approach. Drivers and passengers are greeted in an ergonomic environment, with a thin and light dashboard that allows active modification of the vehicle’s behavior while driving. The sustainable materials used for the interior, such as merino wool and renewable carbon fiber, demonstrate the company’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact without sacrificing the exceptional luxury and comfort of a Lamborghini. Fibers from recycled plastic are used in some components that cannot be seen, such as foam in the sports seats.

The Lanzador represents a real milestone for Lamborghini, as the company continues to work very hard to electrify its entire range of vehicles and achieve decarbonization. The new concept car is part of a broader strategy to reduce CO2 emissions and adopt a more sustainable vision for the future.

Electrifying the future

In keeping with Lamborghini’s hallmarks of performance, innovative technology, exclusive design, and leadership in the luxury auto industry, this is where the brand is headed.
