Kia India Rolls Out K-Charge Ahead of Carens Clavis EV Launch

New Delhi, 09 July 2025 — Kia India has taken a major leap in building a future-ready electric mobility ecosystem by launching K-Charge, its all-new digital charging platform, just ahead of the much-anticipated launch of the Carens Clavis EV on 15 July 2025 at 12:00 PM.

K-Charge: One App, 11,000+ Charging Points

Available through the MyKia app, K-Charge gives users seamless access to 11,000+ charging points across India in collaboration with 18 Charge Point Operators. Whether it’s a city commute or a long-distance highway journey, users can:

  • Locate nearby chargers
  • Check real-time availability
  • Plan EV-compatible routes
  • Pay directly through the app

The platform removes the need for multiple third-party apps, offering a unified, stress-free charging experience.

EV Route Planner for Long-Distance Confidence

To further ease range anxiety and travel planning, Kia has also introduced an EV Route Planner, accessible via the MyKia app and official Kia website. This feature enables customers to:

  • Plan long routes with optimal charging points
  • View availability at charging stations
  • Get estimated charging durations
  • Complete payments without switching apps

This integrated system ensures smooth and efficient EV travel across the country.

Nationwide EV-Ready Infrastructure

Understanding the critical role of after-sales service in EV adoption, Kia has invested heavily in preparing its service and sales network for electric mobility:

  • 250+ EV-ready Kia workshops across India
  • 100+ Kia dealerships equipped with DC fast chargers, ranging from 60kW to 240kW
  • Home charging options with 7.4kW and 11kW AC chargers

These facilities are supported by trained EV technicians and specialized tools to offer top-tier service to EV owners.

Vision for Growth: 20,000+ Chargers by 2026

Looking ahead, Kia India plans to expand its public charging network under K-Charge to over 20,000 chargers by mid-2026, strengthening its commitment to accessible and practical EV adoption.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Joonsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India, said:

“Our comprehensive EV ecosystem is designed to provide peace of mind and convenience. With K-Charge, EV-ready workshops, and smart charging solutions, we are confident that our customers can transition to electric mobility effortlessly.”
