Power for EV charging solutions
Jaguar Land Rover India has announced its partnership with Tata Power to offer electric vehicles charging solutions. Tata Power will offer charging solutions for Jaguar Land Rover in India across its 27 retail networks in 24 cities at customer’s office or homes. Tata Power will provide AC and DC chargers with the capacity from 7 kW to 50 kW. With this partnership, we can clearly say that Jaguar is all set to launch the I-Pace in India. Earlier in March 2019, the company confirmed the I-Pace arrival to India. It will be the company’s first electric step in India which will pave the way for more such cars as also plug-in hybrids.
Jaguar I-Pace created history last year at the World Car of the Year Awards where it won the World Car of the Year Award and it also grabbed the World Green Car and the World Car Design of the Year trophies. This year it will come to India.
Tata Power & Indraprastha Gas Ltd partnership
Earlier, the Tata Power has also partnered with Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) to set up an EV Charging station, battery swapping stations, and rooftop solar power plants.
Recently, the Tata Power announced its plans to increase its network of electric vehicle charging stations to 700 by next year. At present the Tata Group Company is having 100 fast-charging stations across various cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad. It plans to add 200 more by the end of next month.
“We are mapping the locations where EVs are launched and will be setting up charging stations in those cities. Our aim is to take this number to around 700 by next year,” Praveer Sinha, chief executive officer and managing director at Tata Power, said.
