In terms of features, it comes with a 7-inch infotainment system, an 8-speaker sound system, automatic air conditioning, and more. Tata sold 10,695 Tiago cars in the second quarter of 2023.

Before Tiago, Nexon easily topped the list. Now it plays the second game for its younger brother. However, 5,072 units is a pretty good number for a car worth Rs 15 lakh. The advantage of the Nexon EV is that it is a proven product and also offers many features. It is available in Prime (312 km) and Max (453 km) variants to exploit a wider audience base. Nexon Prime’s price range starts at Rs 15.48 lakh and goes up to Rs 18.31 lakh, while Nexon Max’s price range starts at Rs 17.57 lakh and goes up to Rs 20.76 lakh (on road, Mumbai).

Mahindra is still asserting its position in the electric vehicle segment. For the brand, the XUV400 is like a temporary product pending the launch of the Born Electric car. XUV400 is longer than XUV300 which gives more space inside. Also, it has a claimed range of 456km, so the actual range should be around 300-350km. Mahindra sold 2,234 XUV400 units in Q2 2023. The XUV400 costs Rs 17.03 lakh and goes up to Rs 20.21 lakh (on road, Mumbai).

Comet did a pretty good job with its unique design and size. Its overall length is 2.9 m, making it the shortest car in India. It’s a real city car with a claimed range of 230 km and an actual range between 150 km and 170 km. MG sold 1,914 Comet EVs in the second quarter of 2023. Hyundai didn’t get off to a good start in the electric vehicle space with the Kona. However, he is currently working on a top-down approach with the IONIQ-5. BYD is one of the largest electric vehicle manufacturers in the world. In India, marketing firms Atto 3 and e6. Because the Atto-3 is more affordable than the E6, it naturally has more buyers. It comes with a claimed range of 521km and will give an actual range of 250-400km. For a manufacturer that doesn’t even produce here, BYD sells quite a bit.
