iGo Mobility Raises ₹8.2 Crore to Power Next-Gen Electric Trikes

Bengaluru-based EV startup iGo Mobility has secured ₹8.2 crore in pre-seed funding to accelerate the rollout of its innovative electric trike platform. The funding round saw participation from ISB Angels, 888VC, and Guptaji VC.

The company’s flagship product, the BeiGo Rugged Utility Vehicle, has been under development for nearly three years and is designed to serve both urban and rural markets. Built on iGo’s proprietary TwiiGo platform, the trike features a patented anti-topple swiveling mechanism, self-balancing technology, and triple-disc brakes for greater stability and safety on challenging Indian roads.

With this fresh capital, iGo will invest in tooling, automation infrastructure, R&D for new variants, expanding service networks, and fulfilling early demand. The company already holds 12 patents and has collected over 1,00,000 km of real-world usage data to fine-tune its vehicles.

Over the next 12–18 months, iGo plans to expand operations across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Panjim, with an initial deployment of 1,500 trikes through fleet partnerships with Hala Mobility and Elektric Express.

Founder and CEO Sravan K. Appana highlighted that iGo’s vision is to create cost-efficient, fully indigenized EVs that can compete with both two-wheelers and conventional commercial vehicles. Investors echoed this sentiment, noting that the company’s technology-first approach and localized supply chain position it well for India’s fast-growing EV ecosystem.

A larger $2 million seed round is expected in 2026, as iGo looks to scale production and strengthen its market presence.
