Honda’s Electric Duo: Activa e: and QC1 Set to Electrify Indian Roads

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) is poised to revolutionize urban mobility in India with the launch of its electric scooters, the Activa e: and QC1, in early 2025. These two electric marvels are set to cater to diverse needs, offering a blend of performance, range, and convenience.

Honda Activa e: – A Powerhouse of Performance

The Activa e: is a high-performance electric scooter designed for the urban commuter. It boasts a powerful motor that delivers a peak power of 6 kW and a maximum torque of 22 Nm, ensuring swift acceleration and effortless cruising. With a top speed of 80 km/h and a 0-60 km/h acceleration time of just 7.3 seconds, the Activa e: is a true performance powerhouse.

One of the standout features of the Activa e: is its dual-swappable battery system. Each battery pack has a capacity of 1.5 kWh, providing a combined range of 102 km on a single charge. This innovative battery-swapping technology eliminates range anxiety and ensures uninterrupted mobility.

Honda QC1 – A Practical and Affordable Option

The Honda QC1 is a more affordable and practical electric scooter that caters to daily commuting needs. It features a fixed 1.5 kWh battery pack that offers a range of 80 km on a single charge. The QC1 is powered by a compact in-wheel motor that delivers a peak power of 1.8 kW and a maximum torque of 77 Nm. While it may not match the performance of the Activa e:, the QC1 offers a comfortable and efficient ride.

Key Features of Both Models:

  • Modern Design: Both scooters feature sleek and modern designs that appeal to a wide range of riders.
  • Advanced Technology: The Activa e: and QC1 are equipped with the latest technology, including digital instrument clusters, LED lighting, and smartphone connectivity.
  • Comfortable Riding Experience: Both models offer comfortable seating positions and suspension systems for a smooth and enjoyable ride.
  • Eco-Friendly: The Activa e: and QC1 are zero-emission vehicles that contribute to a cleaner and greener environment.

Honda’s Commitment to Sustainable Mobility

Honda’s launch of the Activa e: and QC1 aligns with its global commitment to sustainable mobility. The company’s “Triple Action to ZERO” initiative aims to achieve carbon neutrality, clean energy, and resource circulation. By introducing these electric scooters, Honda is taking a significant step towards a more sustainable future.

The Road Ahead

The launch of the Activa e: and QC1 marks a significant milestone for Honda in India. These electric scooters are expected to gain popularity among urban commuters who are looking for eco-friendly and convenient transportation solutions. As the demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, Honda is well-positioned to capitalize on this trend and establish itself as a leader in the Indian electric two-wheeler market.
