Hero Electric Chief Executive Officer Sohinder Gill said, “As we continue to fight the pandemic, we at Hero are extremely bullish about the market seeing its biggest growth thanks to the extremely conducive market and policies since they were announced.” He further said, “The green shoots for this are visible in the numbers we have achieved in the month of July and overall, in the first half of the year…Our manufacturing facilities are working overtime to cater to the demand.”

The company said that after the FAME II restructured and the incentives for electric two-wheelers to INR 15,000 per kWh, against INR 10,000 per kWh uniform subsidy available earlier along with EV policies by various state governments, the sales of electric two-wheelers is witnessing growth.

Earlier the company had announced its sales report for the year 2020, the sales of electric two-wheelers were over 50,000. the highest for any electric two-wheeler company in India. They further announced their network expansion having crossed 600 touchpoints covering 500 towns and cities across the country, thus offering the widest service network offered by any brand in the segment.

To address the range anxiety, keeping customer focus in mind, Hero Electric has added 1500 new charging points through 2020-21 across various cities.

Sohinder Gill, CEO, Hero Electric said, “As we come out of an extremely challenging year, we at Hero Electric are extremely proud of what we have achieved. When we were faced with the situation, we had two options at hand, and I am glad we chose to fight it out with our experience and support from each and everyone connected to us,”

“We are proud to have achieved our goals despite all challenges. What the country today needs to realise is that the only way we will be able to make it a better place to live is by making the shift and that will happen with one bike at a time. This year, we are looking forward to presenting an exciting lineup of products that will continue to reinforce our commitment to placing our consumers first.”
