Ford’s upcoming F-150 lightning electric pickup truck gets 200,000 reservations
Ford Motor has announced the huge success of its upcoming Ford F-150 Lightning electric pickup truck with nearly 200,000 reservations. It has officially closed pre-orders to the F-150 Lightning making it a best-selling pickup truck (electric version of the United States).

The company had started taking its pre-orders since the unveil of its EV with a refundable amount of $100 and on the first day itself, it had received 20,000 reservations. Interesting! I think number 2 is lucky for Ford as the first day it had received 20,000 reservations and it has closed the reservations with 200,000.
Ford F-150 lightning electric pickup truck took nearly 3 years of production. The company plans to manufacture 15,000 units until next year and 55,000 in 2023 and 80,000 in 2024. Which is a total of 150,000 units in three years and it had received reservations of 200,000.
Specifications
While we look for the EV technical terms, the F-150 electric pickup is equipped with a standard range battery with a dual-motor powertrain which provides an output of 426 hp (318 kW / 432 PS) and 775 lb-ft (1,050 Nm) of torque. The extended range variants have a beefier dual-motor powertrain which will produce 563 hp (420 kW / 571 PS) and the same amount of torque.
Features
The F-150 lightning features a SYNC 4A with the 15.5-inch portrait touchscreen and enhanced voice recognition is standard on LARIAT and Platinum models. It offers voice access to apps, connected navigation, cloud-based connectivity and more.
