The FAME II policy released in March 2019, there are some things that can be altered for better results. There are some demand incentives and subsidies for creating an EV charging infrastructure.

The position paper noted that in a battery swapping, a fully-charged battery ( lithium-ion battery) replaces the depleted one at a swapping station in just a few minutes. This reduces the time to charge electric vehicles (EVs). It benefits to two and three-wheeler categories especially.

Companies working to install battery swapping stations

The companies such as Sun Mobility led by Chetan Maini, Gurgaon based Exicom Power Solutions and 22 Kymco alliance between Twenty Two Motors Pvt. Ltd and Taiwan’s Kymco Global are working for installing battery swapping stations across the selected cities.
