4 slow & 3 EVs fast chargers installed at Parliament
EVs This Week- The Electric Vehicles Charging stations ( both AC and DC ) fast chargers have been installed at the Parliament of India to charge the Electric Vehicles which is supplied to the government as part of the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) tender.
Inauguration of charging stations is done by Secretary General of Lok Sabha, Snehlata Shrivastava with the presence of other senior officials from EESL.
10 EVs from Tata and Mahindra, Tata Tigor and eVerito were flagged off. 4 slow and 3 Electric Vehicles fast chargers were installed at the Parliament
According to the FAME II Scheme, EESL wants to set up the largest network of chargers in India which starts from the metro cities such as Mumbai and Delhi.
EESL has plans to install charging stations at public parking places, fuel stations, and shopping malls.
IIT-Hyderabad Start-up will Launch 10,000 EVs by 2019-20
IIT-Hyderabad Start-up, An Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IIT-H) incubated start-up PuREenrgy has developed the pure Electric Two-wheeler which gives high performance and range and will launch in the financial year.
Okinawa Scooters received approval for FAME II subsidy
Okinawa Scooters have received an approval for FAME II subsidy and got the Automotive Research Association of India’s (ARAI) certification. The electric scooters Okinawa i-Praise and Okinawa Ridge+ are eligible under the FAME II subsidy. For Okinawa Ridge+ & i-Praise the subsidy would be between Rs 17,000 and Rs 26,000 based on the KWH.
e2o Plus electric car manufacturing is stopped
Mahindra Electric Mobility announced that it will stop manufacturing its e2o Plus electric car as the sale of the car is low. The four-door e20 plus was launched in the year 2016, October replaced the older two-door version which was launched in 2013.
Mahindra’s New Models Mahindra e-KUV100 and e-KUV300 electric cars will contribute to eco-friendly mobility.
