In 2016 two youngsters Raghu K from IIM Bangalore and Mahesh Siddegowda from Mysore University implemented India’s first Public Bike Sharing programme TrinTrin in Mysore in 2016. so let us see in detail about EVs Startup of the week-Toutche.

The dream that set out Raghu and Mahesha, Co-founders of Toutche to start Toutche Electric was born of witnessing daily challenges people face due to the growing vehicle population in most Indian cities and towns.

After months of conversations and scrapped ideas, Raghu and Mahesha decided to build an electric power bike, back in 2014. Their aim, to build a product that takes up less road space, is environment-friendly, well suited for a certain type of uses and aesthetically pleasing.

Later in 2019, these youngsters established an e-bike startup Toutche. Their team mission is to build best in class e-bikes and provide the best customer experience.

Their company is offering three electric bicycles available in Hybrid & Mountain styles. All their products runs on lithium-ion batteries. It also has its own in-house and assembly a facility in Mysore.

Heileo M100

The HEILEO M100 is a Mountain style power bike ideal for both off-road and city riding.

comes with a 17″ Aluminium alloy frame, powered by 10.4AH detachable Li-ion battery and 250W BLDC motor. It comes with an adjustable seat and is ideally suited for riders of height 5’2” to 5’9” 6 Speed Mechanical Gear and 3 Speed Electric Gear are some of its features. The price of this e-bike is 49,900 rupees.

Heileo M200

Heileo M200 is a Mountain style power bike ideally suited for both off-road and city riding, with a superior frame and front suspension. It comes with a 17.5″ Aluminium alloy frame, powered by an 11.6AH detachable Li-ion battery and 250W BLDC motor. It is ideally suited for riders of height 5’7” and above. The price of this e-bike is 57,900 rupees.

Heileo H200

Heileo H200 is a Mountain style power bike ideally suited for both off-road and city riding, with a superior frame and front suspension. It comes with a 17.5″ Aluminium alloy frame, powered by 11.6AH detachable Li-ion battery and 250W BLDC motor. It is ideally suited for riders of height 5’9” and above. The price of this e-bike is 53,900 rupees

Currently, the company has service centres across 18 cities in India such as Bangalore, Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune, Mysore, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Rajkot, Tirupathi, Nellore, Vizag, Nagpur, Meerut, Ranchi, Hubli-Dharwad and Mumbai. These electric bikes can be booked through its website.

The company is also providing 18 months of warranty on motor, controller and battery and for the frame it is providing 2 years of warranty.
