Electric vehicles have some important component which helps them to operate. The motor is also one of the important components. It is the propulsion system, converts the electric power and converts into physical energy for movement. In simple words, it converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. There are two types of electric motors widely used in electric vehicles to provide power to the wheels. The direct current (DC) motor and the alternating current (AC) motor.

- AC Induction Motor(ACIM),

DC & AC Motors
DC motors may run from 96 to 192 volts and AC motor, three-phase AC motor running at 240 volts AC with a 300-volt battery pack. A typical motor will be in the 20,000 watts to the 30,000-watt range.
BLDC Motors (BLDCM)
Brushless DC motors (BLDCM) are being used in most of the lightweight 2 Wheeler & 3 Wheeler EVs like Electric Scooters and Electric Motorcycles.
PMSMs
Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor(PMSM) are also being used by many EV Manufacturers for their High-Performance Electric Motorcycle, Electric Cars, Electric Buses.
IPM Motors(IPMM)
Interior Permanent Magnet Motor (IPMM) are also being used by some 2 Wheeler EV Manufacturers for their High-Performance Electric Motorcycle.
ACI Motors(ACIM)
AC Induction Motor(ACIM) is also being used by some EV Manufacturers in 2 Wheeler and 4 Wheeler.
PMSRM
Permanent Magnet Switched Reluctance Motor(PMSRM) is used in Tesla Model 3.
