Bolivia is the country where 25% of the world Lithium reserves located. Lithium-ion batteries are using in almost 70 % of electric vehicles production. The Bolivian ambassador Sergio Dario Arispe Barrientos now started exploring the opportunities to generate revenue for his country in terms of selling Lithium reserves.
Recently, he met Union Minister Gadkari for an agreement to export lithium reserves to India as India is planning to start developing its own lithium-ion battery tech rather than exporting from neighboring countries.

Their goal is to hit two million annual EV sales by 2020 and a complete ban on the conventional internal-combustion engines before 2040
