VW and Ford Motor Company Alliance
One of the big news in the automobile industry, two big giants in automobile industries VW(Volkswagen) and Ford Motor Company are planning to work together for the development of autonomous and electric vehicles globally.
VW management recently announced the news about the collaboration with ford for the development of commercial vehicles(CV). Both the companies joining hands, after a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in June this year.
Earlier Volkswagon announced that it will invest €44 billion by 2023 for developing future green mobility.
E-Trio Becomes India’s 1st ARAI Approved Firm for Retrofitted Technology
Hyderabad-based E-trio Automobiles becomes India’s first company to got approval from Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). The company develops Retrofitted Car technology for converting combustion engine cars to electric cars.
The company recently received ARAI approval for retrofitted car kits in Alto and Wagon R.The startup company develops an electric motor that does not require any gear and can travel up to 150 km on a single charge.
Maharashtra Government Supports Electric Vehicles in Parks
The state government of Maharastra suggests the tiger reserves promote electric vehicles for travel in parks. The state government has asked officers to register electric vehicles and use for safari in parks. The National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) issued guidelines in this regard on October 15, 2012.
