Wipro & Cognizant Using Electric Vehicles
- Wipro, one of the famous IT companies in India has officially announced that it will use at least 500 electric vehicles by 2021 and 1000 by 2023.
- On the other side, Cognizant has already committed to using electric vehicles. They have already launched EVs
in Hyderabad and Bengaluru, now planning to expand in all other locations as well. - These steps from the IT sectors will inspire other sectors to use electric vectors. The company officials also felt happy for the electric vehicles decision for a pollution-free India.
10,000 Rupees Subsidy on 1KWH
The central government of India has taken some interesting decision over the subsidies of Electric vehicles.
Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric vehicles in India (FAME-II), this panel has recommended an allocation of 5,500 crores for the scheme of 5 years on electric vehicles development.
The subsidy is connected to the battery size of the electric vehicle. If the battery size id 2.4KwH, the subsidy will be 2.4 lakhs.
