Electric Vehicles become Popular in Tourist Places

We all have seen Electric Vehicles are getting popular day by day, we got to see them moving in private and public places, recently in Car Racing and now it has been spotted in tourist place. Earlier Government of Maharashtra suggested the forest department  to register electric vehicles and use for safari in tiger reserve parks.

Electric Vehicles at Nandi Hills

Three electric vehicles were launched on Tuesday at Nandi Hills made it even more attractive. These EV will take two Km tour to historical and sight-seeing flora fauna to the visitors till the hilltop.

The electric vehicles, maintained by the private company in association with the state Government.
Each vehicle can carry six persons at once and the ride is ticketed 100/- for adults and 50/- for handicapped and child. The drivers of EVs are trained as guide.

The response of the people encouraged the department to setup the EV in various tourist places. Presently there are four EV functioning in Lalbagh Botanical gardens.

M. Jagadeesh, Joint Director of Horticulture said, this has been done to see the response of the people, if it goes well more EV will be setup otherwise the private vehicles will be banned from the fort premises.
Chairperson of Infosys foundation and local representative inaugurated a 1 Km pedestrian walkaway that connects the fort’s entrance on Tuesday.
