Bologna-based motorcycle development and design firm Engines Engineering (E&E) unveiled its electric Stratos motocross moped. Engines Engineering was founded in 1979. They specialize in style, design, prototyping and validation services applied to the bodywork, chassis and engine of motorcycles, scooters and small three-four-wheel vehicles.

E&E has worked in the motorcycle space for the past 40 years, both with internal combustion and electric power trains. As a part of its electric portfolio, the company developed the Malaguti Ciak ELE electric scooter in the year 2000. Now it comes with Electric Off-Road Concept Bike, Stratos. Stratos comprises not only all-new electric motor and power control products, but also the deep vehicle integration. These components are developed in-house but completely adaptable to many vehicle types.

E&E provides modular power train in Stratos and includes motors ranging from 4kW to 11kW. The motors can be either air-cooled or liquid-cooled and it gives a maximum torque of 230Nm. Stratos electric moped offers top speed of 85kmph and it can accelerate from 0 to 50kmph speed in 3.7 seconds. The moped offers a range of 125km. The kerb weight is 120Kg.

About the Company:

Engines Engineering was founded in 1979 when the founder Alberto Strazzari agreed to create for Bernardi Mozzi the project of an auxiliary motor for bicycles that transmits motion to the wheel via a plastic gear wheel. They specialize in style, design, prototyping and validation services applied to the bodywork, chassis and engine of motorcycles, scooters and small three-four-wheel vehicles.
