Eicher Trucks and Buses, a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), has commenced the supply of its innovative electric small truck, the Eicher Pro X, to Magenta Mobility. This strategic collaboration marks a significant step towards sustainable urban logistics in India.

Deployment of 100 Units in Phases

As part of a phased plan, Magenta Mobility has placed an order for 100 units of the Eicher Pro X small trucks, with the first batch now being deployed. These electric trucks, designed for city and near-city distribution, come with a 1.7-ton payload capacity. The initial deployment will cover key metropolitan areas, including Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Chennai.

Magenta Mobility’s Expanding Electric Fleet

Magenta Mobility is rapidly growing its footprint in India’s electric vehicle (EV) logistics sector. With a fleet of over 2,600 electric vehicles operating across 18+ cities, the company continues to reinforce its commitment to sustainable transportation. The integration of Eicher Pro X electric trucks will further enhance Magenta’s ability to offer efficient, eco-friendly logistics solutions.

A Step Towards Greener Logistics

The introduction of the Eicher Pro X in Magenta Mobility’s fleet aligns with India’s push for cleaner mobility and reduced carbon emissions. The transition to electric trucks in urban logistics not only lowers operational costs but also significantly reduces environmental impact.

Eicher Trucks and Buses’ latest move underscores its commitment to innovation and sustainability in the commercial vehicle space. With the increasing adoption of electric vehicles in logistics, this partnership between Eicher and Magenta Mobility is set to drive a major transformation in last-mile and urban freight transportation in India.

As the rollout of the 100-unit order progresses, both companies are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of electric mobility in India’s logistics sector.
