He was telling me they are planning to launch an electric truck.”

Daimler is looking to launch a fully electric truck in 2021 for the international market. Its first all-electric truck is the light-duty Fuso eCanter and its second-generation version will be launched next year. The eCanter has a driving range of 100 km and can carry a payload of up to 3,200 kg.

Daimler is the only company to launch Bharat Stage 5 (BS-V) trucks in India even when there was no such need as the manufacturers were asked to skip the BS-V and jump from BS-IV to BS-VI.
