Tesla is an electric vehicles maker, posted an update on its YouTube Channel in which its engineers are working on designing ventilators from Tesla Model 3 parts. Isn’t it interesting? Read further about COVID-19-Tesla uses its car technology.

The video shows the two versions of the ventilator which is a prototype model and the packaged model is also shown how it will look when used by a hospital.

“We want to use parts that we know really well, we know the reliability of and they’re available in volume,” one of Tesla’s engineers said.

The ventilator includes most of the parts used in the Model 3‘s infotainment screen, computer as well as a part used in the Model S’s suspension system.

Apart from Tesla, there are many manufacturers working on ventilators. The Ford is working with GE to expand ventilator production using its own resources to make vents, respirators and face shields. While GM wants to build the ventilators at an Indiana-based car factory.

Elon Musk is developing its own ventilators as well as buying FDA approved ventilators and shipping them to the hospitals in need.

Recently, New York City Hospitals was grateful to Musk and Tesla for delivering 40 ventilators to the Elmhurst Hospital in Queens.

However, the New York Governor Andrew Cuomo says that the ventilators that Musk is going to provide them, won’t be ready in time for the coronavirus pandemic.

The first batch of machines is donated and would be delivered later on Friday said the Tesla chief executive. The ventilators were purchased from the US government approved manufacturers in China.

Elon Musk is using the Tesla Delivery Network worldwide to deliver the FDA approved ventilators for free.

Mahindra company has also decided to make ventilators. The teams of Mahindra from Igatpuri and Mumbai plants have decided to participate for the cause. They have prepared the first ventilator prototype within 48 hours. After its production, the company started testing it and approached the final stage to finish its production.

Mercedes Formula One (F1) team is also helping in developing a ventilator that helps the Coronavirus patients to breathe properly.
