The first electric bus from BYD India arrived in Chennai on 20 August 2013
It was the 10th anniversary of BYD India, a subsidiary of China’s BYD New Energy Vehicle, in the Indian market for electric vehicles. At the event, BYD India opened a new office in Gurugram to support its expansion efforts in this country.
It was in 2007 that BYD began its Indian operations with the launch of e-business in India, and then expanded into other areas of business. With the arrival of the first electric bus in Chennai on 20 August 2013, BYD India’s EV journey began.
By utilizing this strategic location, BYD will be able to organize its operations, innovate, and collaborate with its local partners, customers, and stakeholders more effectively, thus strengthening the brand’s engagement with these stakeholders.
BYD’s new ATTO3 and e6 passenger vehicles are also leading the way when it comes to premium eSUVs and eMPVs in the passenger vehicle sector.
