Bluwheelz and INTENT Partner to Accelerate Electric Truck Adoption in India

In a landmark step toward decarbonizing the freight and logistics sector in India, Bluwheelz and INTENT (International Energy Transition Platform) have announced a strategic partnership aimed at deploying electric truck solutions at scale. The collaboration brings together two mission-driven organizations focused on driving India’s clean mobility revolution through innovation, technology, and sustainable transport.

Driving the Future of Freight

Under the partnership, Bluwheelz will spearhead efforts to expand its fleet of light and medium-duty electric trucks across the country. Leveraging its operational expertise, logistics network, and robust electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, Bluwheelz aims to transform last-mile and mid-mile deliveries through zero-emission solutions that are both efficient and economical.

Meanwhile, INTENT, led by its visionary Founder and CEO Mahua Acharya, will focus on the development of a large-scale green freight aggregation platform. This platform will be designed to aggregate demand for heavy-duty electric trucks, enabling fleet operators, logistics companies, and large industrial customers to transition to cleaner freight operations. INTENT has set an ambitious target to deploy 5,000 electric trucks over the next three years, with the goal of significantly reducing carbon emissions and operational costs in the heavy logistics segment.

“This partnership is a step-change for India’s green freight ambitions,” said Mahua Acharya, adding, “We need a collaborative, systems-level approach to scale electric freight. Our platform will serve as the bridge between market demand and the supply of electric trucking solutions.”

A Win-Win Model for Sustainability and Business

The joint effort creates a win-win ecosystem where both partners contribute unique strengths:

  • Bluwheelz brings vehicle deployment experience, fleet management systems, and on-ground logistics support.

  • INTENT offers policy expertise, market intelligence, and digital platform innovation to catalyze green freight adoption.

Together, the two companies aim to decarbonize supply chains, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and support India’s net-zero goals. This initiative also complements the Indian government’s broader push toward electrification of commercial vehicles and the expansion of green transport corridors.

Enabling the Ecosystem

The success of this partnership hinges on an ecosystem-based approach involving OEMs, battery technology providers, financing institutions, and government stakeholders. By aggregating demand and standardizing deployment processes, Bluwheelz and INTENT are set to unlock economies of scale and accelerate the commercial viability of electric trucking.

“We are proud to partner with INTENT to drive real change on the ground,” said Chanpreet Singh Sethi, CEO of Bluwheelz. “This partnership aligns with our commitment to deliver sustainable, scalable logistics solutions powered by clean energy.”

Looking Ahead

As climate concerns grow and supply chain sustainability becomes a key priority for businesses worldwide, the Bluwheelz-INTENT alliance presents a powerful model for what the future of green freight can look like. By combining boots-on-the-ground deployment with a robust digital aggregation platform, this partnership has the potential to be a game-changer in India’s transition to zero-emission transport.
