BLive partners Ather Energy to promote EVs at tourist places

Blive announced that it has partnered with Ather Energy for the EV adoption at the tourist destinations across the country which will be first starting in Goa. The partnership will install 5 charging stations across Goa by the end of this month and 15 by the end of the year. Under the partnership, the BLive will showcase Ather Energy’s electric scooters through the product experiences and will provide pre-bookings for customers. The GTDC (Goa Tourism Development Corporation) is also helping in this green initiative by providing space for BLive EV Zones. The EV Zones will be set up across its associated hotels.

The start-up B: Live in 2019 had launched zero-emission e-bikes in Mysore to promote eco-friendly tourism. These e-bikes are available for both tourists and locals at select places on a rental basis. These e-bikes are presently available at Grand Mercure, Radisson Blu and Windflower.

Recently in March, it has raised $1 million as part of the follow-on capital of the Pre-Series A round. The funding was a combination of debt and equity and was led by LetsVenture, Mumbai Angels, JITO, and Credit Wise Capital. Last year in 2019, it raised nearly $1 million from a stake sale to entertainment and event platform DNA Networks.

Ather Energy recently had announced that it has opened its latest Ather Space Experience Center in Kerala. It has commenced its test rides of Ather 450X at Jaipur with the association of Akhand Distributors. The company in a statement said it is expanding its plan to meet the national demand for the vehicle and Ather 450X will be available across 27 cities in India.

Ather Energy has already marked its footsteps in various cities such as Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hubli, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Mumbai, Nagpur and Pune but the price varies depending on the city. Now the two new cities have been added to the list Jaipur and Kochi. Other cities including Mysore, Indore, Panaji, Bhubaneshwar, Nasik, Surat, Chandigarh, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, Noida, Lucknow and Siliguri.
