Batt:RE Stor:ie Electric Scooter got AIS 156-Amendment III-Phase 2 CMVR Certification
BattRE Electric Mobility Private Limited (Batt:RE), an electric mobility company focused on providing urban consumers with a sustainable, high-performance commuting experience, has received AIS 156 – Amendment III – Phase 2 CMVR certification for Stor:ie.
This is an electric two-wheeler, which also reaffirms the brand’s commitment to providing drivers with the safest and most efficient battery-powered vehicles possible. Among the strictest standards for electronic two-wheeler safety and performance in India, this type of certification is considered one of the most stringent. Stor:ie is a electric scooter equipped with a high-capacity lithium-ion battery packed with NMC chemistry and IP 67 protection rating. This battery is designed and manufactured to the highest standards to ensure safety, reliability and durability.

Jaipur electromobility startup BattRE launched the electric scooter Storie last year. The introductory price of this electric scooter is Rs 89,600 (ex-showroom showroom). The subsidy associated with FAME II is not included in this price.
The BattRE Storie features a retro design reminiscent of Vespa scooters. A curved bezel houses the halogen headlights and bulb indicators, giving the scooter a sleek and clean look. The retro curve extends to the scooter’s side panels, resembling a Vespa scooter. The Story is driven by a Lucas TVS hub motor that produces 1.5 kW of continuous power at the wheels with 2 kW and 20 Nm peak power. This motor is connected to his removable 3.1kWh battery weighing 18kg. BattRE claims that his ICAT (International Center for Automotive Technology) certified electric vehicle with a top speed of 65 km/h has a range of 132 km on a single charge.
Additionally, the scooter has been tested for over 1 lakh kilometers to comply with AIS 156. The scooter body is made entirely of metal for durability. The motor is IP67 dustproof and waterproof, and the battery and controller are IP65 certified.
Stories feature an instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, call notifications, and turn-by-turn navigation. It also has a Connected Drive feature that helps drivers find nearby charging stations. Additionally, this also allows scooter diagnostics on the go.
BattRE plans to introduce a ‘pay and charge’ concept to its charging stations to offer customers a more convenient option. The storie will be available at 400 retailers nationwide within the next few weeks. Deliveries are expected to start in June. BattRE Storie’s price tag of Rs 89,600 (excluding showrooms), competes with Hero Electric Photon, Okinawa PraisePro, and Hero Electric NYX. However, the Hero Electric NYX HX has a slightly longer 138km range thanks to its dual battery setup.
