The GST Council last week made an announcement in the reduction of GST on electric vehicles and electric charging stations or chargers. Ather 450, Ather 340 and Avera Retrosa price dropped after the GST reduction. 

Ather, Retrosa and Hyundai Kona price drop after GST reduction

Ather 450 & Ather 340 price

The GST cut from 12 percent to 5 percent. The Ather 450 new price is Rs.1,13,715 in Bengaluru and Rs.1,22,224 for buyers in Chennai.

The Ather 340′s new price is Rs.1,02,460 in Bengaluru and at Rs.1,10,443 in Chennai. The Ather’s scooters are on sale in Bengaluru and Chennai and the company is looking forward to make an expansion to the other big cities such as Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Pune and 30 other cities by 2023.

Avera Retrosa electric scooter price 

The Avera Retrosa electric scooter is said to be the best competitor to Ather 450. Earlier Avera Retrosa’s on-road price is 1,26,960 now the price is reduced to Rs 7,000. The new price of this electric scooter is Rs 1,19,400.

Hyundai electric Kona price

The Hyundai electric Kona which is costing Rs 25.30 lakh in India, after the GST reduction it may go down by Rs 1.5 lakh. However the there is no confirmation given by the Hyundai Motors till now.

We can expect a price drop after GST reduction of more electric vehicles in the coming days. Thanks to the GST Council for reducing the GST on electric vehicles. This step will help the growth of the electric vehicles in India which leads to the reduction of pollution from the country.
