The fastest and smartest e-scooters from Ola Electric

Ola Electric, one of the leading EV start-ups has an electric scooter lineup consisting of the Ola S1, Ola S1 Pro, and Ola S1 Air. Ola provides India’s fastest and smartest Electric Scooters within an affordable price range and offer. As we know, electric vehicles especially electric scooters are growing rapidly with customer demand and support.

Apart from these existing products, Ola has revealed they are planning to produce more electric two-wheelers including e-motorcycles. They have unveiled five motorcycle concepts. In July 2023, Ola will deliver its Ola S1 Air, which was launched recently. The S1Air was welcomed wholeheartedly by the customers and the incredible features and offers made them even more excited to acquire it.

So, let’s explore the details of these amazing e-scooters from Ola Electric.

Ola S1

The updated entry-level S1 is designed for those with limited daily mileage and wanting a more affordable scooter.

The Ola Electric S1 is an electric scooter launched in 2021 by Indian electric vehicle manufacturer Ola Electric. Ola Electric S1 aims to provide sustainable and efficient urban transportation. We aim to be eco-friendly, affordable, and technologically advanced. The Ola Electric S1 is powered by a powerful electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack. It offers ample range on a single charge, making it suitable for daily commutes and short trips. The scooter also has a fast-charging feature, allowing users to charge their batteries quickly and conveniently. One of the main highlights of the Ola Electric S1 is its smart features. Besides it has an instrument cluster that gives information about the power level, the battery level, and the range, it also has a digital instrument cluster.

The Ola S1 E-Scooter is Ola Electric’s first EV offering and comes in two variants, the Ola S1 and the Ola S1 Pro. The Ola S1 and its larger Ola S1 Pro share a similar design and an 8.5kW electric motor. However, they differ in performance, range, features, and color range. Both the S1 and S1 Pro have the same electric motor with a maximum power of 8.5 kW and a torque of 58 Nm. The S1 has a 2.98kWh battery, while the S1 Pro has a 3.97kWh battery. The S1 Pro accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in 3 seconds. In contrast, the S1 accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.6 seconds. Compared with the S1 and S1 Pro, the acceleration time from 0 to 60 km/h for the S1 and S1 Pro is respectively 7 and 5 seconds. The S1 has a top speed of 90 km/h, while the S1 Pro has a top speed of 115 km/h.

The Ola S1 has a range of 141 km on a single charge, and the Ola S1 Pro has a range of 181 km on a single charge. With fast chargers, both the Ola S1 and S1 Pro can be powered up in just 18 minutes and have a 75 km range. Using a traditional home charging port, the S1 can be charged to 100 percent in 4 hours and 48 minutes. In contrast, the S1 Pro can be charged to 100% in 6 hours and 30 minutes. Both the S1 and S1 Pro come packed with tons of standard features and advanced technology. Aside from the octa-core processor, the scooter has 3GB RAM, a 4G network, and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity for high-speed connectivity via 4G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth technology. The Ola S1 has two driving modes, Normal and Sport, and the S1 Pro has three driving modes, Normal, Sport, and Hyper. The Ola S1 is priced at Rs 1,29,999 and the S1 Pro at Rs 1,39,999.

Ola S1 Air

Ola Electric continues its electric scooter offensive with its latest model, the S1 Air. Its introductory price of Rs 79,999 and 2.5kWh battery was announced in October 2022. After that, the price increased to Rs.1,09,999. The Ola S1 Air also comes with Ola’s latest MoveOS 3 software, which offers many enhanced features. The Ola S1 Air features a 2.5kWh battery with a hub motor that produces 4.5kW of peak power. The scooter offers an IDC-certified eco range of 100 kilometers. It accelerates from 0 to 60km/h in 9.8 seconds and reaches 90km/h. It takes about 4.5 hours to fully charge the scooter.

The S1 Air design is similar to the Ola S1 Pro and Ola S1. But there are some changes. The front end is equipped with conventional telescopic suspension and rear shock absorbers. Both ends are equipped with drum brakes. These two changes and a few others have resulted in a weight reduction of 99kg compared to the Ola S1 Pro’s 125kg. Also being added to the S1 Air are seats and tubular grab handles. This scooter has 34 liters of under-seat storage, 2 liters less than the S1 and S1 Pro. Meanwhile, the scooter has a 7-inch touchscreen and three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport.

Ola also announced the launch of MoveOS 3 with the S1 Air. The latest over-the-air upgrade offers over 20 advanced features and performance enhancements. The latest features introduced in MoveOS 3 include Proximity Unlock, Party Mode, Moods, and compatibility with Ola’s Hypercharger network. At a charging speed of 3 km per minute, Ola Hyperchargers allows the scooter to be charged up to 50 km in 15 minutes. Additionally, the latest MoveOS 3 update introduces more features such as Hill Hold, Profiles, and Vacation Mode. Ola has started MoveOS 3 beta testing for all Ola S1 owners, with general availability coming in December 2023.

The Ola S1 Air is available in 5 colors: Coral Glam, Neo Mint, Porcelain White, Jet Black, and Liquid Silver.

As a final note

You will be able to make your ride more enjoyable with your favorite Ola e-scooter if you choose your favorite one. In any case, each of the products on this list has excellent features and offers that are offered at a very reasonable price, so you can no doubt choose one of them. As for the upcoming e-scooters that will be offered by Ola, one can expect them to be more efficient and superior to anything that a person might wish for in an e-scooter.
