Tata Power & IGL Jointly to set up EV Charging Stations, Solar plants

The announcement of signing an agreement was made between the two companies, Tata power a private sector electricity generator and IGL (Indraprastha Gas) natural gas distributor.

Companies said in a Statement

The companies said in a statement, “The MoU will explore possibilities of co-operation in setting up large scale Solar Group Captive Power Projects under the Captive Policy of Government of India for IGL’s own consumption and setting up of commercial-scale charging and battery swapping stations for electric vehicles with the allied power management solutions.”

MoU also includes rooftop solar projects

The MoU also provides the installation of the rooftop solar projects under the CAPEX (Capital expense) and RESCO mode (BOOT Model-Build Own Operate Transfer) with the structured IGL establishment. The rooftop solar projects include residential, industrial and commercial purposes.

Both the companies will share standalone customer management care infrastructure

Along with these, the two companies will also help each other in Utility Revenue Cycle Management and customer management, sharing the already standalone customer management care infrastructure.

The IT solutions, data analytics, geographical information system based solutions, advanced DMS, energy audit of IGL establishments and energy efficiently implementation projects which comes under the ESCO Mode.
