A leading EV charging operator in india has partnered with MG Motors to expand the ecosystem of EV charging points. In addition to the UK-based carmaker, Zeon is the 6th partner for the company to enable electric vehicle owners to charge on demand. A Memorandum of Understanding between MG Motors and Zeon will provide MG Motor customers with access to over 300 chargers throughout the country.
By partnering with Zeon, MG Motor will offer EV charging solutions at numerous locations, including highways and urban areas. Zeon’s EV charging kiosks will be available exclusively to MG Motor’s customers throughout the country as a result of this agreement. Zeon will add 300 more charging stations to MG Motor’s inventory of electric vehicle charging stations, which will incorporate both alternating current and direct current technology. The company currently has more than 12,000 charging stations in India.
There are two electric vehicles offered by MG Motor in India at present. With the launch of the MG ZS EV in 2020, the company launched its first electric vehicle in the country. As part of its expansion into India, MG Motor will launch the MG CometEV in 2023, its second electric vehicle. As far as electric vehicles are concerned, it is the cheapest in the country. The price of the car starts at Rs 7.98 lakh. MG Comet EV competes with other electric hatchbacks in the segment, such as the Tata Tiago EV and the Citroen eC3.
With the expansion of the MG Motor electric vehicle (EV) charging network, MG Motor will expand its electric vehicle (EV) range shortly. According to Gauravu Gupta, Deputy Managing Director of MG Motor India, this strategic partnership with Zeon Electric demonstrates MG Motor India’s commitment to sustainable mobility and its commitment to providing a seamless electric vehicle ownership experience. As a team, we aim to establish an advanced charging infrastructure putting convenience and reliability first for electric vehicle owners.
