Hyundai Genesis GV60 electric SUV unveiled

Hyundai Motor has unveiled its first luxury electric vehicle GV60 sport utility vehicle (SUV) ahead of its debut this year. It has officially revealed exterior and interior images of the GV60 which is based on its dedicated EV platform E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform). The official statement by the company says that The “G” in GV60 represents Genesis, while the “V” represents the vehicle’s versatility. The number ‘60’ is the lowest in the Genesis lineup and comes as the brand evolves its model-naming scheme to fit its unique design identity of ‘Athletic Elegance.’ Lower numbers will emphasize athleticism under the scheme, with elegance represented by higher numbers. Based on this system, the GV60 is Genesis’ most athletic model yet.

Genesis GV60 electric SUV technical specifications aren’t revealed but the company has shared complete details about the interiors and exteriors of the SUV. If we look at GV60’s exterior design it comes with a smooth and dynamic appearance. It does carry its signature design experience, its sleek silhouette body.

The front of the SUV includes the iconic and progressive two-line quad lamps which help to provide the voluminous body. Below that the crest grille has been placed to improve the dynamic performance of the GV60 and also to increase the cooling efficiency of the high-voltage batteries in the underbody. Its grille has also a new wing with the thickness of the emblem reduced by nearly 80 per cent from previous models. It features the same unique Guilloche pattern often seen in luxury watches.

The digital side mirrors that are connected to the camera and monitor system adding a cutting-edge appearance. Its electric door handle enhances a strikingly futuristic image by automatically popping up when you approach the car.
