MG unveils new Marvel R electric SUV

MG Motor has unveiled its new model Marvel R Electric SUV for the European market. It will go on sale in May. Marvel R Electric is characterized as an intelligent ‘Tech Style’ vehicle. It is packed with not one or two but with three most efficient and powerful battery packs. At present, the company has the only electric car MG ZS EV SUV on sale in India. It has an MG eHS plug-in hybrid as well.

Features 

The luxurious high-tech lifestyle C-segment SUV is 4,674 mm long, 1,919 mm wide and 1,618 mm tall. The wheelbase measures 2,800 mm. It has more than enough spacious and fabulous interior with a 19.4-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel.

The electric SUV features include a split headlamp setup includes L-shaped LED DRLs that runs across the bonnet. It has tail lights joined by a lightbar. It offers a V2L system (vehicle-to-load), this technology allows the lithium-ion battery to supply energy to an external electrical system, for example, an air pump, electric scooter, a laptop or even another BEV.

The maximum towing weight of the MG Marvel R Electric is 750 kg. It has 357 litres of the luggage compartment in the rear but when the seat is folded down it will increase to 1,396 litres. It also offers 150 litres of luggage space under the hood known as frunk.

Technical specifications

If we talk about its technical specifications, the MG Marvel R electric SUV has a range of over 400 kilometres (WLTP). It is equipped with an all-wheel-drive Tri-Motor of 212 kW which produces 665 Nm of torque.

It allows the SUV to accelerate from 0-50 km/h in just 1.8 seconds and from 0-100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. It gives a top speed is limited at 200 km/h. Its batteries can be charged up to 80% in just 30 minutes with the help of an 11 kW AC Charger (3-phase fast charging).
