It is equipped with 400V set up with the 17kWh Lithium-ion battery and a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4 cylinder petrol engine. The petrol engine produces 270BHP of power and 400Nm of torque and its 17kWh battery produces 44BHP of power with a peak torque of 53Nm. The traction motor produces 134BHP of power and 245Nm of torque. It gives 40 kilometres of range in pure electric mode with 280kW/637Nm and can do 97km/h in seven seconds. The battery uses nickel manganese cobalt technology.

When the battery charge is decreasing the hybrid mode starts operating and electric mode starts when the battery is about to deplete or it needs more power. Whereas eSave mode uses the petrol engine to obtain power and saves the battery power.
The company is offering three variants such as 4xe, Sahara 4xe and Rubicon 4xe for its Jeep Wrangler 4xe. It has some extra features on offer will be the 2.0-inch lift kit, offroad bumpers, rock rails along with the 240 Volt EV wall charger.
Wrangler 4xe will be available to customers before the end of the year in America, Europe and China. In India, it is expected to launch in 2021.
