MD of Hero Electric to teach ‘Economics Of

Electric Vehicles’ course

The Managing Director (MD) of Hero Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd, Naveen Munjal, will be teaching a course on the ‘Economics of Electric Vehicles’ at the Masters’ Union School of Business.




The course will focus on how India can develop an ecosystem using electric vehicles, related necessary aspects, unique advantages it will have and how the EV ecosystem will impact on the shared mobility in the country. The Masters’ Union School of Business announced today that Naveen Munjal will be teaching a course on the ‘Economics of Electric Vehicles.’

Munjal is an Alumnus of Huron University UK and he started his automotive journey working at Landrover. Later on, he joined his family business Hero Cycles and worked for its expansion globally. After that, he launched Hero Electric and is a leading electric two-wheeler manufacturer in India. He chairs the SMEV (Society of Manufacturers of Electric Vehicles) which is the one and only representative body of the Indian Electric Vehicle Industry in India.

Masters’ Union School of Business

Masters’ Union is a new age business school offering industry-immersive business education where the classes are led by top industry leaders and practitioners. The CEOs, CXOs and some of India’s leading policymakers will mentor students.




Hero Electric recently unveiled its first-ever electric motorcycle in India. The company named the electric motorcycle as AE-47 at the Auto Expo 2020 along with its other electric scooters and an electric trike. The company launched four new electric scooters in Auto Expo 2020.

While speaking AE-47 electric bike specifications, it can accelerate from 0-60 kmph in 9 seconds along with a top speed of 100 km/h. The bike is powered by 4Kw Motor and works with a detachable lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 3.5 kWh. It charges in 4 hours and in full charge it provides a range of 160 km in Eco mode. 
However, the company haven’t revealed its price details yet. The AE-47 is showcased as the premium model and is likely to be launched in India with a price tag between ₹ 1.25 – 1.5 lakh. We have to wait until its official launch to know the exact price.
