Bird Electric EV1 unveiled at Auto Expo

2020 under Rs 10 lakh

One of the leading automobile manufacturers, Haima Automobile has announced its entry in the Indian market. It has showcased it’s family electric car Bird Electric EV1 in Auto Expo 2020 with a range of 300 km and will be available with a price tag of Rs under 10 lakh on the Indian roads.

The Haima Energy has entered into technical collaboration for EV with Bird Electric. Bird Electric is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bird Group.

This all-electric vehicle is planning to set up a plant in Manesar and will bring two variants with a driving range of 200 km and a 300 km on a full charge. The first lot of Bird Electric EV1 will roll out after 12-15 months.

Bird Electric EV1 is specially designed for Indian customers. This hatchback will come with an extended warranty package and annual maintenance package at low cost.

Bird Electric EV1 specifications 

The hatchback is equipped with a high energy lithium-ion battery and an electronic control system. It produces a torque of 30KW/ 95N.m/150 Nm. It will have a top speed of 120 kmph. Its power consumption is Rs 60 per 100km. The company is offering a larget boot capacity of its category in the five-seater configuration.

Bird Electric Director, Ankur Bhatia said that the company is glad to enter into electric car segment with a world leader like Haima. The company is very confident about their partnership that they will meet the needs and expectations of the consumers.

MG Motor India has also showcased its E200 electric vehicle at Auto Expo 2020. The E200 is a micro electric car which has a seating capacity of two people. It is co-developed by SAIC, GM and Wuling.
