As electric vehicles are boom everywhere and revolutionizing the electric vehicles (EV) industry. Renault plans to offer an electric version of its most selling Kwid in India. This will be the entry-level hatchback likely to be priced under Rs. 10 lakhs. Electric Renault Kwid EV launching in India in 2022.

The Renault Kwid electric version is being launched in China as the K-ZE. The model will be also available in India around 2022. It is expected to offer a range of 250 km on a single charge.

The company is planning to expand its production by launching 5 new cars and bring some changes in the existing lineup. The company said that some of the state governments are showing interest and are willing to invest in the charging infrastructure. Some of its favorable discussions have begun in Telangana and Kerala and soon Andhrapradesh too.

Currently, India has two electric cars, Tata Motors’s Tigor EV and Mahindra & Mahindra’s Verito electric sedan in the mass segment.

Renault Kwid electric and Wagon R electric will be affordable electric cars in India when they launch.
