84 Fast Charging EV Stations Set Up By EESL In New Delhi

The rapid growth of electric vehicles in the country will also require the chargers or charging stations for the vehicles to run fast-charging EV Stations.

Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), energy service company of the Government of India which is the world’s largest public ESCO. EESL is planning to set up 84 fast-charging electric vehicle stations by the end of March in the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) area.

These fast-charging stations will provide charging facilities at very low cost at Rs 30 that is for 15-minutes. 15 minutes charge can give you a range of 22 km while it will take 90 minutes to fully charge a vehicle. The electric vehicle consumers can charge with the use of a mobile app-ElectiFi and can book a time slot.

Managing Director, EESL, Saurabh Kumar said that the fast-charging stations will be set up in the public parking spaces. Some of the selected locations are Khan Market and Yashwant Place among other locations in the NDMC area.

The Charging stations will have three standard Bharat DC-001, the compatible with EV models of Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra, a place to keep the European CCS and Japan’s CHAdeMO in each station.

More equipment will be added in the second half of the year. while few foreign automakers will bring in their EVs in India.




15-kW Chargers- Charges Electric Two- And Three-Wheelers

15-kW chargers can also be used to charge electric two- and three-wheelers. The charging stations must have all three standards as mandated by the Power Ministry.
