The Tata Harrier EV is officially unveiled: What can we expect?


 

A bouncer was recently added to Tata Motors’ Harrier EV which surprised everyone when it was officially unveiled. The Indian automaker has shared full-size images of its upcoming all-electric SUV on various social media platforms such as Twitter and Instagram. The Harrier EV had earlier been showcased by Tata Motors in the upcoming Auto Expo 2023.

 

 

Tata Harrier EV: What’s new

As mentioned earlier, Tata Motors unveiled the Harrier earlier this year. However, the latest teaser shows off this EV SUV’s premium two-tone bronze and white paint finish. To further emphasize the design, the automaker has used some vehicle parts entirely in black. Tata Motors updated the electric car’s front bumper to distinguish it from the ICE version. Apparently, judging by the manufacturer’s images, the Harrier EV will be fitted with a connected LED daytime running light strip above the closed front grille.

 

Tata Harrier EV: When will it launch?

Tata Motors is officially silent on the Harrier EV launch. However, based on interactions in social posts, the company confirmed that the EV will take place on sale in 2024. In response to a Twitter question about pre-ordering and launching the Harrier EV, Tata Motors replied, “…see you driving the Harrier EV in 2024.”

 

 

 

Tata Harrier EV: Specifications and features

Tata Motors confirmed at Auto Expo that the Harrier EV will be powered by two electric motors and an all-wheel drive system. Although battery and performance data have not been confirmed, the Harrier EV is expected to have a range of 400-500 kilometers per charge. Additionally, the Harrier EV offers a variety of charging options, including vehicle-to-store and vehicle-to-vehicle.  

The Harrier EV is a bold and powerful 4WD intelligent electric vehicle with legendary pedigree, stunning exterior design and future-ready connectivity. The updated five-seat monocoque SUV Harrier EV is based on legendary Land Rover D8 architecture. Based on the Omega Architecture developed in collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover.

 

 

 

 

The Harrier EV front is a new design completely different from the previous one. Additionally, LED lights in the bar and enhanced daytime running lights further enhance the product’s appearance. The vertically stacked headlight assembly has also been redesigned. An illuminated Tata logo adds to the aesthetic appeal, while a redesigned rear completes the look of the redesigned Harrier EV. The rear taillights are up-to-date, and there is a light bar here as well.
