Volvo XC40 Recharge is Excepted to Launch in India on July 26th. The Swedish manufacturer will be bringing the facelifted version cars with localized assembly. The new version will come with a few cosmetic changes along with two electric motors.

The new Xc40 Recharge comes with a 78 kWh battery which gives a claimed range of 418km on a single charge.
The XC40 will be coming with 150kW DC fast charger and from 10% to 80% it just takes 33 minutes with a 50kW charger, XC40 can be fully charged in just 2 to 3 hours as per the source.

The Volvo XC40 Recharge SUV comes with two Electric motors on each axle that will output 402bhp and 660Nm of torque, which is nearly double what its ICE siblings deliver. However, the car tips the scale at 1,188kg the weight depends on the respective equipment- weighting electric SUV is 4.43 meters long, 2.03 meters wide and 1.65 meters high.
Also, the all-electric XC40 can pull a trailer weighing up to 1,500 kg as per source, which is 400kg heavier than the former.

The Xc40 Recharge will be assembled at the carmakers Hoskote plant near Bengaluru.
This is likely to make the XC40 Recharge more competitively priced than other Luxury EV’s.
XC40 comes with following options leather-free interior and also includes sharper dials with a new Android-based infotainment system. other notable features come in the form of a panoramic sunroof, wireless mobile phone charging, connected car tech, powered front seats with memory, and level 2 Autonomous Driving capability.

on arrival, the XC40 Recharge will take on recently launched Kia EV6 and the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 5, which will be locally assembled.
