Volkswagen to build its battery plant spends nearly $1.12 billion near its German headquarters. It announced that it will work with its unnamed partner.

Many automakers buy the battery packs from suppliers or buy cells and make them into packs. But Volkswagen is involved in the production of cells themselves.

Yes, it is a big step that company is taking but it is not the one, along with Volkswagen (VW) the other companies such as Motors, Ford, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, etc also planned to introduce their electric models.

Volkswagen to erase petrol vehicle from minds of people

The company is very much enthusiastic and have extra motivation towards electric vehicles and erase the diesel or petrol vehicle from the minds of the people.

European countries, China & India to ban the sale of gas, diesel, Petrol vehicles 

The main element here is the regulation. The European countries such as France, the Netherlands, Norway, and the United Kingdom plans to ban the sale of gas and diesel cars in the coming years.

Similarly China and India, in India, the Andhra Pradesh (AP) government is also planning to ban the petrol or diesel vehicles in the state in coming years.

Volkswagen (VW) motive

The VW motive is to make enough batteries available as almost every country is into making battery-operated vehicles.

The company is preparing themselves to supply enough batteries as in the near future may be in 5 to 10 years the need for batteries will become a huge concern.

Tesla working with Panasonic 

As if you see Tesla’s operation, since 2016, the CEO is working with Panasonic to build its own batteries at its Gigafactory outside Reno, Nevada.

last year, it hit a production rate till a year, it would have made 20 gigawatt-hours of battery power-enough for 200,000 top-of-the-line, 100-kWh Tesla cars.
