VLF India Teases New Electric Scooter, Sparking Speculation of a Fresh EV Launch

VLF India has recently teased an upcoming electric scooter on its social media platforms, igniting anticipation among electric vehicle enthusiasts. The teaser, while not revealing extensive details, suggests that the company is preparing to expand its electric scooter lineup in the Indian market.

This development follows the successful launch of the VLF Tennis electric scooter in November 2024. The Tennis, priced at ₹1.30 lakh (ex-showroom), features a 1.5kW motor delivering 157 Nm of peak torque, powered by a 2.5 kWh battery offering a range of 130 km on a single charge and a top speed of 65 kmph. The scooter is assembled at Motohaus’s Kolhapur facility and has garnered over 300 bookings shortly after its release. 

The teaser hints at VLF India’s commitment to broadening its electric vehicle offerings, potentially introducing a new model to complement the Tennis. While specific details about the upcoming scooter remain undisclosed, the company’s recent activities suggest a strategic effort to strengthen its presence in the Indian electric scooter market.

As VLF India continues to build its dealership network across tier-1 and tier-2 cities, including Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, Jaipur, Chennai, Ahmedabad, and Goa, the anticipation for new models grows. The company aims to establish 20 dealerships by the end of 2025, enhancing accessibility for potential customers.
