VinFast Launches Pre-Bookings in India for VF 7 and VF 6 Electric SUVs — Eyes Rapid EV Market Expansion

Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) giant VinFast has officially opened pre-bookings in India for its much-anticipated electric SUVs — the VF 7 and VF 6. The move marks a significant step in the company’s aggressive strategy to capture a slice of India’s rapidly growing EV market.

VinFast recently broke ground on its EV manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu, and now, by launching pre-orders for two of its most globally recognized models, it is signaling strong intentions to become a key EV player in the country.

The VF 6 is a compact electric SUV designed for city commuters, featuring a sporty design, advanced driver-assistance systems, and a practical range of around 400 km on a full charge (depending on the variant). It will compete in the sub-compact SUV segment, one of the fastest-growing in India.

Meanwhile, the VF 7 is a more premium mid-size SUV aimed at customers looking for bold design, performance, and cutting-edge technology. Expected to offer an electric range of up to 450 km, the VF 7 will feature a high-tech interior, digital cockpit, and premium materials — making it a rival to the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric.

VinFast has already launched in global markets such as the US, Europe, and Indonesia. With India being one of the world’s largest automotive markets and EV adoption gaining momentum, the company’s entry comes at a crucial time.

The brand is also offering early bird benefits and attractive financing options for customers who pre-book early. Deliveries are expected to begin in mid to late 2025, with pricing details to be revealed closer to the official launch.

VinFast’s India strategy includes local manufacturing, dealership expansion, and introducing affordable electric models in future. The company’s ambition to establish India as a strategic EV hub aligns with the Indian government’s Make-in-India and green mobility initiatives.

Stay tuned for detailed variant specifications, features, and booking procedures as VinFast gears up to disrupt the Indian EV landscape.
