VE Commercial Vehicles Partners with Statiq to Accelerate EV Adoption through Seamless Charging Integration

New Delhi, India – May 2025: VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV), a leading player in the Indian commercial vehicle industry and a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has signed a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Statiq, a leading electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions provider. This strategic partnership is aimed at accelerating the adoption of Eicher’s electric trucks and buses, particularly the newly introduced Eicher Pro X range of Small Commercial Vehicles (SCVs).

As part of this collaboration, Statiq’s robust charging infrastructure will be integrated into the “My Eicher” digital platform, enabling Eicher EV users to experience a seamless and intelligent ecosystem. This integration will provide customers with real-time visibility of Statiq charging stations, navigation assistance, and transparent tariff information, making EV ownership and operation more convenient and efficient.

With the rise in demand for sustainable and cost-effective transportation, this move positions VECV and Statiq at the forefront of India’s rapidly evolving EV ecosystem. The Eicher Pro X series, known for its advanced engineering, energy efficiency, and intelligent telematics, is already making waves in the small commercial vehicle segment. The addition of Statiq’s charging network is expected to significantly enhance the overall EV experience for fleet owners, individual operators, and logistics companies.

Speaking about the partnership, a VECV spokesperson said,

“Our mission is not just to sell electric vehicles, but to offer a complete ecosystem that supports our customers throughout their journey. The integration of Statiq’s charging infrastructure with the My Eicher app is a major step toward making EV usage practical, reliable, and efficient across India.”

Statiq’s Role as a Preferred Charging Solutions Partner

As part of the agreement, Statiq will also become one of VECV’s preferred partners for the supply and installation of both AC and DC chargers across key customer and dealership locations. This includes fleet yards, urban logistics hubs, transport nagars, and other strategic nodes in the commercial transport network.

Statiq brings with it deep technical expertise and an expanding network of public and private charging points. Their charging solutions are compatible with a wide range of EV models and offer fast, reliable, and user-friendly interfaces. This partnership is expected to simplify the charging process and reduce downtime for commercial EV operators — a critical factor in logistics and transportation businesses.

Commenting on the collaboration, Akshit Bansal, CEO of Statiq, said,

“We are excited to work with VE Commercial Vehicles, a pioneer in sustainable commercial mobility. Our shared vision is to create a charging ecosystem that matches the pace of electric vehicle adoption. By integrating with the My Eicher app, we are ensuring that drivers and fleet managers can locate, access, and manage charging needs seamlessly, all in one place.”

Driving Toward a Greener Future

This MoU reflects a growing trend in the Indian automotive sector where manufacturers and infrastructure providers are coming together to build an ecosystem that supports the long-term adoption of electric vehicles. With government incentives, rising fuel costs, and increasing environmental awareness, the commercial EV segment is poised for exponential growth.

The VECV-Statiq partnership is a strong signal of confidence in the EV transition, ensuring that customers are not just sold a vehicle, but are also provided with the tools, services, and support necessary to make the switch to electric a viable and beneficial choice.

As the partnership unfolds, both companies plan to expand the availability of charging stations, offer bundled vehicle-charging packages, and enhance the digital tools available to operators and fleet owners.
