for India ranges 150 km
Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) engineering solutions and product development company unveils an electric scooter prototype for the Indian market. The Detroit Engineered Products (DEP) is much keen to offer its expertise in developing electric vehicles and its associated systems at a frugal cost for the Indian market.

The global company headquarter is in Michigan and it has come up with a prototype of an electric scooter for the Indian market. The prototype is developed by the team to showcase its design and development capacity in the future automotive technologies
Electric scooter range 150 km
Many electric scooters lack in the range, they cant offer the desired range the customers are looking for. To address the range of anxiety, this new scooter offers a range of 150 km. It has four removable batteries with a capacity of 4 KWh. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 km in 7 seconds with a maximum vehicle speed of 80 km/hour.
Radha Krishnan, President, DEP, “The battery capacity will enable the scooter to run for a week with an average travel distance of 25 km a day.”
The company is also in the process to provide solar battery pack which help in achieving 20 per cent more range and a feet gyro board for testing when the vehicles stop.
The DEP is already working with around six companies in India which include established players and new companies for developing electric products.
“We provide all forms of design and engineering that forms the backbone for any product development. Also, we help the companies develop products at a lower cost,” said Krishnan.
The DEP chief innovations officer, Karthik Shankaran, said that the company would also participate in the supply of electric bus orders of State Transport Undertakings.
