Upcoming electric vehicles in India-Komaki Venice & Skoda Enyaq iV EV

Komaki Venice 

Komaki a Delhi-based EV manufacturer has announced that it is going to launch a new electric scooter named Venice soon. The Venice electric scooter will be available in 10 different peppy colours. It is the 5th high-speed electric vehicle from the company to be launched. Read further to know more about Upcoming electric vehicles in India.

Talking about the Komaki Venice electric scooter features such as regenerative braking, repair switch, and mobile connectivity. Apart from this, Venice will get a large seating space with an extra storage box facility. The Komaki has not yet shared the technical details of the company. But we will update that soon.

Gunjan Malhotra, Director, Komaki Electric Division, said, “Venice is going to be one of our most exciting launches. The blend of iconic design with modern technology in 10 stunning colours is going to be an absolute treat for the customers. We’ve spent a lot of effort in R&D to make sure that this model is one-of-a-kind. It will be equipped with all the modern features like repair switch, regenerative braking system and many more that will make it the perfect scooter to drive on Indian roads.”

Skoda Enyaq iV EV

Upcoming electric vehicles in India

Skoda unveiled its first electric SUV Enyaq iV and the company is planning to launch its electric vehicles in India starting with the Enyaq iV, possibly in 2022. Skoda debuted the electric SUV globally in September 2020. Thomas Schafer, Chairman of the Board, Skoda Auto said, at present, it is looking the options in India and is going to try some Enyaqs on the ground.

Features 

The electric SUV’s features a distinctive front grille, illuminated LED taillights, the light-up grille has 130 LEDs. It has a length of 4,649mm, a width of 1,879mm and a height of 1,616mm and holds a boot capacity of 585 litres. The wheelbase is 2,765 mm.

In the SUV’s centre, it has a huge 13-inch infotainment system and there are ten themed packages of choices for all the variants. The company is offering a wide range of variants such as Enyaq 50, 60, 80, 80x, and vRS. The Enyaq 50, 60, 80 variants are rear-wheel drive and 80x, and vRS variants are all-wheel drive.

Specifications 

Talking about its technical terms it can accelerate 0-100 kmph in just 6.2 seconds and gives a range of 510 km. Skoda Enyaq iV will come with a set of three battery packs. The 55kWh battery provides 340km of driving range, the 62kWh battery offers 390km of driving range and the 82kWh battery provides 510km of driving range. The price of the Enyaq iV electric SUV can be expected around 34 000 Euros, approximately Rs 28.29 lakh.

While the EV maker was not planning this on an immediate basis but the automaker doesn’t want to be left out in India’s EV race. It plans to manufacture electric cars in India with an estimated price of around Rs 35-40 lakh.
