Ultraviolette Automotive introduces the X44, its next electric bike

Ultraviolette X44

Bangalore-based Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer Ultraviolette Automotive has registered the X44 as its trademark. We believe this is the next e-bike to be developed after the introduction of its F77.

So far, we only know the name of this upcoming electric motorcycle. However, there is no specific information about this bike category.

The Ultraviolette X44 nomenclature suggests this could be the EV company’s latest adventure bike. Based on the same core as the F77, but with an ADV-oriented character.

If so, you can assume it’s a big bike with upright ergonomics, wire wheels, high ground clearance, improved suspension for different types of terrain, low power, long-range, improved power delivery, off-road modes, and more.

There is also the possibility that it will become a completely redesigned city using naked bikes. Cheaper packages may come with smaller batteries with shorter ranges and power delivery suitable for city use.

We’ll learn more about this mystery e-bike once it hits the road for testing. A bike maker could use the same futuristic design language to style the Ultraviolet X44.

The Ultraviolet F77 is priced at 380,000 rupees (excluding showrooms). It has three variations: Standard, Recon, and Limited (out of stock).

36.2 hp and 85 Nm of torque are standard. It accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 8.3 seconds and reaches 140km/h. The cruising range on a full charge is 206km.

The Recon has 38.8 hp and 95 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 147km/h. The cruising range on a full charge is 307km.

The Limited has 40.5 horsepower and 100 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0-100km/h in 7.8 seconds, reaching 152km/h top speed. The cruising range on a full charge is 307km.

Ultraviolette Automotive recently began a phased introduction of the F77. The first phase of the project has begun in Bangalore. Phase 2 has been launched in Chennai, Mumbai, Pune and Cochin. There will be the opportunity to buy the product in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Lucknow from Q3 2023 onwards. Gurugram, Jaipur, Kolkata, Guwahati, and Ludhiana are expected to receive its bike in 2023. Eventually, the bike maker plans to introduce the F77 to international markets including Europe, North America, South America, Japan, and Southeast Asia.
