New Delhi, August 2025: TVS Motor Company has entered a new phase in the electric cargo mobility segment with the launch of its latest product – the TVS King Kargo HD EV . Priced at ₹3.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) , the newly introduced L5-category three-wheeler cargo vehicle is designed to meet the growing demand for sustainable and efficient last-mile goods transportation in India.
In the first phase, TVS will make the King Kargo HD EV available across Delhi NCR, Rajasthan, and Bengaluru , regions that have demonstrated strong adoption of electric mobility due to supportive policies and robust charging infrastructure. The company aims to gradually expand availability nationwide in the coming months.
The King Kargo HD EV is powered by a 8.86 kWh Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery pack , delivering an actual range of 143 km on a single charge. Designed for urban and semi-urban delivery applications, the EV achieves a top speed of 60 km/h and can accelerate from 0–30 km/h in just 5.9 seconds .
With a maximum power output of 11 kW (15 hp) and 40 Nm torque , the vehicle offers a balance of performance and payload efficiency, essential for cargo operators who prioritize both speed and carrying capacity.
The three-wheeler is equipped with a 3 kW off-board charger , which can charge the battery fully in 3 hours and 10 minutes , enabling quick turnaround times for commercial fleet operators.
Built with durability in mind, the King Kargo HD EV comes with a 6.6 ft load deck , supported by leaf spring suspension to ensure stability and reliability under heavy cargo loads. The vehicle has a kerb weight of 541 kg and a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 998 kg , making it highly capable for daily commercial logistics.
It also offers an impressive gradeability of 28.7% , allowing it to perform seamlessly on inclined urban roads and flyovers.
TVS Motor Company is backing the King Kargo HD EV with a 6-year / 1.5 lakh km warranty , giving customers confidence in battery life and long-term ownership.
Alongside the EV launch, TVS also showcased its upcoming CNG-powered variant of the King Kargo HD , which is expected to hit the market by the end of calendar year 2025 (CY25) . This dual approach highlights TVS’s strategy to offer a wide portfolio of clean and cost-efficient mobility solutions.
