TVS Motor Co has launched its new premium electric scooter and flagship car for Rs 250,000 out of the showroom without considering any subsidies. The Chennai-based two-wheeler maker has focused on the design, performance, and connectivity aspects of its latest electric product which will go on sale in November 2023. X will debut for the first time. in Bangalore, then it will launch in at least 15 cities end of fiscal year 2024. The all-new TVS X builds on TVS’s form-by-function design approach while maintaining the attractiveness and groundbreaking nature of product attributes. The TVS X has a unique styling, without front steps or bulky side panels, a distinct departure from traditional scooter styling.

An aluminum and high-precision cast hybrid front frame protects the battery pack, while an aluminum monocast rear subframe protects the battery pack as well. A low-set, centralized center of gravity and a 50:50 weight balance offer an engaging riding experience through the positioning of the motor and controller behind the battery pack.

The TVS X has a twin-damping setup at the front, while it receives an offset single rear shock for better driving dynamics. The scooter is fitted with 12-inch silica tires that offer low rolling resistance.

The X features an all-LED lighting setup, with 26 individually customizable headlight LEDs. X greets the pilot by playing with its signature theme of lights and sounds.

The e-scooter also has a 10.2-inch TFT all-digital instrument cluster that can be tilted to match its viewing angle. The cluster is an extension of TVS’s X Connect operating system and currently runs the NavPro user interface, which contains maps embedded from Here Maps to provide offline navigation.

The TVS X is powered by a 4.4 kWh battery with a range of up to 140 km with a single pilot. The battery also offers fast charging and can be charged to 50% in 50 minutes. The battery will power the 11kW maximum output motor that drives the rear wheels via a belt to deliver a claimed top speed of 105km/h and a 0-20km/h acceleration time of 2.6 seconds.

X is a unique product and our goal is to design a revolutionary electric motorcycle. It is an ambitious goal and also defines TVS’s vision for the future.
